Description of the problem | I was riding my motorcycle when it suddenly died. I couldn't restart it. My buddy brought an ohms tester and said the battery wasn't being charged. We had the vehicle dropped off at a dealership for maintenance. When i got home i did some research on the internet and a safety recall came up, rm2012/019, for the exact problem that happened to my bike. Its a faulty regulator rectifier. I contacted triumph usa and they said because i brought my bike from overseas (im retired usaf), that the safety recall didn't apply to me, and that any repairs would be out of my pocket. How is that fair? I've registered it here in the states, and the exact problem it was recalled for is what happened to my bike. |
