 Description of the problemTl* the contact owns a 2010 toyota venza. The contact was driving 25 mph when the brakes failed. The brake pedal was depressed all the way to the floorboard with the illumination of the brake warning lamp. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed that there was a problem with the pedal and the sensor communicating. The manufacturer was contacted who stated that they would contact the dealer and send an engineer to inspect the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 15,000. The consumer stated when she applied the brake pedal, the vehicle continued to move. The only way to bring the vehicle to a stop was to pump the brakes. The consumer stated the abs light and traction control lights illuminated. A message that read check cvs illuminated followed by another message that read braking system failure. The dealer stated the cause of the failure was due to a faulty pedal and sensor. The part finally arrived at the dealer two weeks later.
