Description of the problem | Both rear leaf springs failed in november 2014. The outer leaf of both rear springs fractured. I replaced the leaf springs with an after market suspension system which included rear leaf springs. This was before the toyota leaf spring recall. Toyota just denied my claim for reimbursement stating that the after market leaf springs are not the part that was covered by the recall. They stated that after market parts are not eligible for reimbursement. Based on what i have read of the law, i don't believe this to be a valid reason for denial of reimbursement. |
