Description of the problem | I have two concerns: first is the clear-coat and paint on the vehicle rubbing off causing the roof and other body panels to rust, which in turn causes the structural integrity of the vehicle to be compromised in the event of an accident/rollover. Second is that the front headlamps fill up with water/moisture during cold weather/rain/ and car washes. This could lead to the headlamps shorting out causing an accident and possible injuries/deaths. Toyota so far has offered no solution to either concern and my extended warranty company claims they won't cover sealed beam headlamps. If they are as they claim sealed beam headlamps how is the water intrusion happening? Both of these concerns are safety related and should be addressed as such. I am the second owner of this vehicle and it only has less than 62,000 miles. |
