Description of the problem | 2007 toyota tacoma. Consumer writes in regards to vehicle recall notice of a defective spiral cable in the steering wheel assembly and consumer seeks reimbursement for recall repairs. *smd toyota sent the consumer a letter of denial for reimbursement, because they did not receive proof of payment, which they defined as a copy of a cancelled check or credit card statement. The consumer then sent toyota a copy of the cancelled check,. Toyota then responded by asking for the repair order, which the consumer had already sent them. They also asked the consumer to visit an authorized toyota dealership to have the repairs completed,which had already been done. *jb |
