Description of the problem	2014 corolla l with 4sp automatic transmission. When the vehicle is traveling around 50-55mph on the freeway and i try to speed up, the transmission will bang hard when downshifting from 4th to 3rd gear. There is a little bit of a delay when this happens. This has happened multiple times after i bought the car which was a month ago. I took the corolla back to magic toyota in edmonds, wa and they weren't able to find the problem. This happened a day after i bought the car on 08/01/2020 and it happens almost every day.. The problem went away after i disconnected the battery but then it returned last week. What's unsafe about this condition is the transmission is eventually going to break and it will happen when i'm on the freeway. This isn't a light jerk but a full on sledge hammer smack that happens when the transmission has a hard time downshifting from 4th to 3rd. So if the transmission breaks while i'm driving on i-405 then it could potentially cause a rear-ending collision.
