Description of the problem | Takata recall. I received a recall notice from toyota in may. In june we were told the part was in stock and made an appointment to have it installed. When we got there on 6/13 they did not have the part. I have been calling toyota customer service and the dealer several times. According to the service manager andrew baer, they have received none of the replacement parts since june 13 (today is july 27). I understand the number of recalls is large, but why send out the notice if you don't have the parts? Toyota seems very cavalier in their concern about something that has resulted in severe injuries and deaths. |
