Description of the problem | I called a dealer in june to set up an appointment to have the repair done for this recall. I was told they did not have the part and my name was added to a list and the part should be in in 2 weeks. I called again today to check on the status and was told that they are still waiting on the parts. They can only order 9 parts per week and when they order the parts they are told that the parts are on back order. They are working on repairs for customers who called in may. I don't understand why toyota is limiting the amount of parts a dealer can order weekly and why they don't have the parts available when they know there is a recall. This process is taking too long and putting my son at risk. |
