Description of the problem	There is a sometimes significant delay in response when pressing accelerator pedal and actual acceleration of the vehicle. This makes it difficult to judge merges into traffic or when making turns from a stop into traffic. The delay could be related to the turbo charger spinning up, but it does lead to a dangerous condition. This is particularly noticeable when the vehicle is cold. I did not notice such a perceptible delay in acceleration when driving an older model diesel pickup also made by dodge ram.
