Description of the problem | I have had an ongoing problem with throttle response since new. There is a 1-2 second lag when attempting to enter traffic and when trying to pass another vehicle. This problem affects numerous asian equipped transmissions in the dodge diesel trucks and many owners are having the same problem with no resolution offered from the dealerships or chrysler corp. It is very dangerous because you are attempting to accelerate with safety but have to account for a lag in performance. It also does not occur on all trucks so equipped and vehicles equipped with the asian prior to 2014. I have found it necessary to abort my attempt to enter traffic due to this lag in response and was nearly hit from the rear because another stopped vehicle thought i was leaving my position. Hopefully this problem can be resolved with a computer reflash but so far, chrysler is not interested in a fix. |
