Description of the problem | I was trying to pull out of a drive way on a country road. The road was obscured and hard to see around the corner. I started to pull out slowly to see around the corner. I took my foot off the accelerator pedal at that time a loaded log truck came around the corner and i was in his way. I automatically pressed down on the accelerator pedal and the truck just sat there for about 2 to 3 seconds before it started to move. The log truck had all its brakes locked up and smoking. I? M really glad the truck driver had good reflexes. I don? T know if my boys and i would have made it through a crash like that. I believe this is a really big safety issue and it should be addressed at once. I was told by the dealer that it is that way for the safety of the drive train. That just don't seem right to me. Save the drive train forget the people? |
