Description of the problem | I have fumes getting into the cabin of my vehicle. The egr valve has been rplaced once already at 16000 miles. The fumes persist and happen at random regardless of driving conditions. Vehicle heater is on with outside air on, but smell will persist even when vehicle is in motion at highway speeds and is noxious enough to cause throat to feel sore and eyes to water. This is not due to being near another diesel vehicle. Again happens at random, forums suggest smell may be linked to regen process. Regardless of process fumes should not be able to enetr vehicle. |
