Description of the problem	I received a recall in the mail stating that the vehicle needed to be inspected, and that a failure could result in loss of control and crashing. Made appointment to have vehicle inspected. Vehicle was inspected and found that the left tie rod end needs to be replaced. The dealership informed us that the part was not available and was on "intergalactic backorder." i contacted chrysler and asked about a timeline and they stated that the arrival date of the replacement parts was uncertain. I asked if the vehicle was safe to drive since the tie rod is such an important part of the steering assembly and i was told that it was up to the discretion of the driver. I asked about them providing a loaner vehicle, beings that it is a safety concern and our family's primary vehicle, their reply was that they couldn't do that. I feel that it is a safety concern for my family and i, and that it is the responsibility of the chrysler company to repair the vehicle that i purchased from them, or provide a safe and comparable vehicle until the repairs can be made.
