Description of the problem | Takata recall- after traveling 2 hours to work in -6 degree weather i have to roll the window down for the security check. After 2 hours of driving with the truck well heated inside my driver side window popped and believe that the window track is moving without the window. Had to open the door since i could hand the guard my id through the window. I've researched online and have found numerous complaints about my model and year truck so i know that i am not alone. Apparently the design of the window clips and track assembly is different then the years prior. The clips are flimsy and sometimes break. I understand the window could freeze but after two hours of driving you would think that it would be safe to operate the window. All of my other windows are working fine after i had the issue with my driver side window. |
