Description of the problem	Tailgate fell open while i was pulling a cargo trailer on interstate 40 in tennessee. Due to road roughness and noise i was unaware of it until i stopped for fuel. The tailgate had fallen onto the trailer jack handle and damaged the tailgate. There is a significant dent into the top of the tailgate and also damage to the plastic topcap on the tailgate. In addition there is an arc shaped scratch across the tailgate above the latch handle.
