Description of the problem | A noticeable delay in throttle response is present. Some times the delay is short [ 1 second ] other times the delay is more pronounced [ 2-4 seconds ]. This can be very dangerous due to the vehicle not responding correctly. I have noticed the problem to be more prevalent when having to quickly transition from being on the throttle to off and back on quickly. A good example is merging onto the freeway where you have to quickly accelerate in stages to match the flow of traffic. Each time you lift and depress the throttle pedal there may be a delay that is not consistent and can cause an over estimate or under estimate of the of the space needed to safely and courteously merge. I feel that this a true safety concern . Would you want an unpredictable delay with the brakes or the steering? Why should the fuel pedal be any different. |
