Description of the problem | Driving on rural highway 65mph when truck began to make grinding noise. After stopping and inspecting drive train it was discovered the center support bearing had failed and allowed the 2 piece drive shaft to become loose. Fortunately the support bracket kept it in place. Had bracket not held in place catastrophic drive train failure could have occurred and possibly causing accident. |
