Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ram 2500. The contact heard a knocking sound behind the dashboard of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the plastic gear actuator was faulty and needed to be replaced. As a result, none of the hvac functions were operational. The dealer stated that there was a customer satisfaction notification for the failure initiated by the manufacturer; however, there were no recalls. The contact's vehicle was not covered by the customer satisfaction notification (k17). The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, but did not assist due to the vehicle not being included in the manufacturer's recall. The failure mileage was 69,500. |
