Description of the problem | Aafter recall nhtsa 13v-038 had been "repaired" in 2014, the exact description of what happens to the vehicle happened 2 years later. "the rear axle pinion nut on your vehicle may loosen due to undersized pinion shaft splines. A loose pinion nut could cause the rear axle to seize or cause the driveshaft to separate resulting in a loss of motive power. Either situation could cause a crash without warning." the rear axle seized and the driveshaft separated resulting in a loss of motive power. The entire driveshaft actually completely fell off of the vehicle while getting onto the freeway. This "repair" obviously did not resolve this issue. |
