Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2010 dodge ram 1500. The contact stated that while attempting to accelerate from a traffic light, a loud noise emitted from the rear of the vehicle. After inspecting the vehicle, the contact noticed that the rear axle pinion nut fractured impacting the rear differential causing a failure. The vehicle was not able to be driven. The vehicle was towed to the dealer for inspection and diagnosis to determine the failure. In addition, the contact mentioned that the vehicle was included in nhtsa campaign id number: (power train) and the dealer was not able to supply the part within a reasonable timeframe to schedule the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 95,000. |
