Description of the problem | The exhaust manifold bolted to the engine block is leaking at 75000 miles, upon further investigation this is due to bolts breaking off at the engine block level. Bolts are shearing inside the engine hole threads. This is a very distinct and reoccurring issue plagued by every dodge ram owner. Please perform a search at google (or any other engine), keywords "dodge ram exhaust manifold leak" (https://www. Google. Com/search? Q=dodge+ram+exhaust+manifold+leak&oq=dodge+ram). There is a very loud distinct ticking noise coming from the right side engine manifold. After 30-60 seconds it almost disappears; similar to any other video or complaint found on the www. Some have called their dodge dealer complaining about it and even the dealers are recognizing that it is a flaw but a recall will never happen! |
