Description of the problem | The recall for fixing the drag link separation is not safe. You do not weld steering components because you change the molecular structure of the steel making it harder. Instead of bending, it will snap. Also you cannot adjust toe in and toe out any longer. This is creating a dangerous and at best a poor band aid fix that is making a new potential problem. Chrysler refuses to replace the part. Now, everytime you meed alignments, the welds need knocked of amd rewelded, thus altering the component once again. This should be illegal. |
