Description of the problem | Hemi tick, google it. Seems to be a real thing. I first noticed about a year and a half ago a light tapping sound that was not intrusive and didn't think much of it. It's gotten notably louder now and i've noticed that the idle seems to be a bit on the rougher side the last couple months with the rpm starting to fluctuate however no engine codes yet. Im going to try to get to the dealer floor a warranty inspection when i can however my work schedule is not the best. My travel has been primarily highway for about 85% of my 42k miles. I have routine oil changes using products meeting chrysler specifications and don't typically haul anything and never tow. The sound so far is notable only when idling. Still runs fine otherwise but the growing symptoms match what i've been reading about. |
