Description of the problem | Tl*the contact owns a 2008 pontiac g6. While driving approximately 7 mph, the contact heard a loud wind sound in the steering wheel. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer for diagnostic testing. The technician stated that the steering wheel shaft and the struts required replacement. The vehicle was repaired for the malfunction. The identical failure continued after the repair was performed. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic on a separate occasion where the mechanic stated that the steering wheel defect could not be repaired. The steering wheel components were lubricated to prevent the wind sound which there was no resolution. The contact was waiting on a response from the manufacturer regarding the defect.
