Description of the problem | Sensor in steering column malfunctions and power steering goes out. Gm admits this is a known issue /manufacturing defect and fixed it for several years at no cost. Now they expect consumers to bear the cost, about $1000. I just purchased this car used and am experiencing the issue while driving. This is a safety issue as power steering just quits with no warning. |
