Description of the problem | When pulling into a parking lot after an hour long drive, my pontiac g6 gt hardtop convertible made a loud pop and then filled with smoke and flames shot out of the hood. Prior to that there was a pop and liquids spilled onto the ground. I jumped out of my car and ran to alert a nearby police officer. We got back to the car in less than a minute and he was able to extinguish the flames. The local fire department was also alerted and they arrived to check the fire. When it was repaired the technician said that it had something to do with transmission, or some fluid, igniting. |
