Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2007 pontiac g6. The contact stated whenever he attempted to accelerate while driving 10 mph, the vehicle failed to shift gears and the check engine warning lamp illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing where the technician diagnosed that the cam shaft position sensor, cam shaft actuator solenoid sensor were defective and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired and the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired.
