Description of the problem	Why was the 2007 g6 not included in the new recall by gm for several models including the 2007 pontiac g5 for a serious fuel leak problem? The g6 has the same fuel tank and line that is cracking in the vehicles recalled and our g6 smells of gasoline so bad we cannot park it in the garage and fuel constantly is dripping from the tank. Several forums list this problem and numerous complaints with the g6 year 2007 and up. Here is just one: http://www. G6ownersclub. Com/forum/showthread. Php? T=12371 just do a search for "forum g6 gas tank leak" and you will find more complaints. Local dealer wants over $2000 to replace the tank, pump and lines and we read that it does not cure the problem when others have had this work performed. (dealer installs the same plastic line that will crack in the heat and they refuse to fix just the line, stating the entire tank must be replaced) just what are we to do when gm does not fix a know dangerous problem? And just why did this recall not include the g6? And why does our fabulous government who bailed out gm not make them fix know defects?
