Description of the problemVehicle was experiencing stalling on a stop and hesitating in reverse for approximately 4 months. Thought it was due to fuel pump issues. Then, heard a loud clicking noise when i took my foot off the brake to slow. Was told my transmission needed to be replaced. Nissan has an extended 120,000 warranty on transmission. My vehicle had 120,815 miles. They only replaced 50%, causing me to pay $1500. These nissan cvt transmission clearly have a significant defect causing these issues that nissan has acknowledged by doubling the warranty, but this is insufficient. The transmissions should have been recalled. I should not have paid anything for the repairs. Additionally, the replacement transmission was a nissan remanufactured with refurbished parts, not new. Based on the numerous consumers reporting they have had to replace transmissions in these vehicles 2 or 3 times, i will not be keeping this vehicle, nor will i ever buy a nissan product again.
