Description of the problem	I am filing a complaint in regards the the fuel gauge/distance to empty meter. Few weeks ago it started to missread. I fill up and its already 2 bars empty. Everytime i start the car up it drops a bar and i've noticed a drastic drop in the dte of up to 50 miles on highway traveling of on 24 miles. I had the dealership look at it and try to see why and they told me that it is something that has been happening with lots of people and that it is being looked at as normal. If it is normal it would have been nice for nissan to have sent a letter or something to car owners letting the public know that it is happening and that there isn't anything that can remedy the situation. I had my car in the shop multiple days just to find out that basically the only way it would be corrected would be if nissan found it a recallable item since there is no code to work with when they put it on a machine. I feel that it should be looked at as a safety issue cause its obviously malfunctioning equipment, if its not reading right it could easily lead to me being stranded on a highway due to incorrect fuel readings. *cn
