Description of the problem | Rear alignment outside specification, but not adjustable, as spindles are welded to the axle, making shim plate installation impossible. My vehicle showed excess toe-in and excess negative camber, creating tire wear and handling problems. On third visit to dealer, a new axle was installed, but this one is also outside specifications with cross camber in excess of 0. 5 degrees, which will cause handling problems. Mitsubishi refuses to honor their warranty and repair this obvious defect. A very large number of mirage owners report the same problems with no solution or help from mitsubishi. A recall must be issued to replace all defective axles with parts that can be adjusted. |
