Description of the problem | Car lost power while driving-- it operated at a limp at first-- just prior to that went forward quick, then it just stalled while driving while in gear. The gas just made the engine rev. The car the next day after getting towed operated and the same thing happened while the service station took the car for a test drive. They had to tow it back. This same problem was fixed under warranty (20,000 on approx. 03/2008). It happened again. Ford refused to agree that there is something wrong with the design etc. If this had happened on the highway at highway speeds the results could have been tragic. I think it has something to do with the throttle problem... The car limps just as everyone as complained about. I have no idea what was actually fixed under warranty as the parts mean nothing. Pistons, gaskets, sensor turbi, hub plate asy, seals, and many other parts. |
