Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2004 mazda rx-8. While driving 25 mph, the contact's vehicle was rear ended by another vehicle. As a result, the contact rear ended the preceding vehicle. The air bags failed to deploy. A police report was filed. The contact received neck and back pain that required medical attention. The vehicle was not towed and was able to be driven after the crash. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign numbers: 15v345000 (air bags) and 15v382000 (air bags); however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 89,400. |
