Description of the problem | Automatic transmission failure in 4th gear on 2005 mazda 6. We bought the car new and 2years later the transmission started slipping in 4th gear. I complained to the dealer and they said they found nothing. The third year it became pronounced and still they said they found nothing. I found out last year that mazda knew about the problem in the transmissions and never contacted us about a replacement transmission. I went to the dealership when i found out late last year and i was told that they could no do anything about it as the car was over the mileage. I strongly feel that mazda knew the transmissions were defective and never notified owners. We are the only registered owners of the vehicle and it is an accident waiting to happen because once the vehicle gets in the 4th gear it vibrates and shakes the whole car violently. |
