Description of the problem | Tl*the contact owns a 2005 mazda6. The contact stated that while at a traffic light, the vehicle began to hesitate as if it were going to stall. The contact had to apply pressure to the accelerator pedal in order to keep the engine running. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and was told that two engine coils needed to be replaced; however, when that did not correct the failure, the contact was told that the catalytic converter needed to be replaced. The failure continued to occur and the contact was told that the engine needed to be replaced. The contact was concerned that the failure was a manufacturers defect that was never repaired under warranty. The failure mileage was 57,000 and the current mileage was 66,000.
