Description of the problem | My vehicle died while i was driving at a low speed into a parking lot. I found out the issue is the positive terminal of the car battery is loose, so the battery cuts in and out. Also, since the positive terminal is loose, the battery acid spills out and corrodes the cable. I have since replaced my battery with a new mazda car battery, and my mechanic tightened the positive terminal by inserting a metal coin (since the battery harness part has been discontinued). However, i noticed today that there is corrosion on the positive battery cable, so some battery acid is leaking out of my new battery. Also, i noticed that when i start the car, most times the car will die on the first start and need to be restarted in order to stay on. I don't feel safe driving my vehicle b/c i am afraid it will die again while i'm driving it. |
