Description of the problem	Tl* the contact owns a 2014 mazda 3. While operating the vehicle, a rubbing sound was heard coming from the rear brakes. The contact indicated that the rubbing sound became progressively worse. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer (mall of georgia mazda located in buford, ga) where it was diagnosed that the rear passenger side brake caliper was damaged due to exposure to water and had made contact with the brake rotor. The vehicle was repaired and the failure was remedied. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The contact was informed that the vehicle was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 17v393000 (service brakes). The contact stated that the vehicle experienced the same failure listed in the recall.
