Description of the problem	At night there is a significant dispersion of all lights that are reflected from the rearview mirror. The problem is most acute from the headlights of all vehicles behind that are reflected as going up and down in huge streaks and sometimes in rainbow colors. I reported this problem to the maserati dealer of silicon valley in redwood city, ca, who investigated and said the issue was with all the quattroporte's on the 2015 and 2016 models they had in stock. They concluded this as a design condition with the photochromic in the rearview mirror. See attached service complaint record for reference. In corollary, they had me escalate the matter directly to maserati, who after their research (case# 51725) are saying this to be normal and within design specs since its the same condition with all their quattroporte's. There were expressly clear in not offering any further assistance in resolving the issue. My concern primarily and chiefly stems from this being a safety hazard as it becomes very difficult at night to tell between vehicles and particularly when changing lanes. I have not seen anything like this before with any other vehicle.
