Description of the problem | I turned my ignition to start my car and the driver airbag deployed from the steering wheel hitting me in the head causing me to lose consciousness briefly from the impact. The airbag popped in my ear after hitting my head and started smoking. The smoking coming from the now deflated airbag did not stop for about 10 minutes. There was no reason for the airbag to deploy. I am very afraid of why this happened and since it happened for no reason i am fortunate this didn't happen while driving. I am 7 months pregnant, so due to this happening my doctor had me go to the hospital to have the baby monitored to make sure everything was ok. I use this car to drive my 4 year old and 2 year old and i am concerned for my whole family's safety. Ford needs to take action on this case of airbag deploying for no reason. |
