Description of the problemProblem with sudden acceleration with 2006 lexus rx330. I had cruise control set at 65mph with my foot off pedal and then the vehicle suddenly accelerated to 90 and going faster in a split second. I hit the brakes and luckily the vehicle slowed down. My whole family was in the car and were all terrified. I called the dealer, lexus of westminster, next day to report the problem. The service technician simply ignored my claim and indifferently told me that he never heard of such problem and bring my car if it happens again in the future. He did not offer to check it out and i stopped using cruise control of that vehicle. It was a lease and car was returned last year. When i heard this news about acceleration problem with toyota vehicle recently, i got concerned about safety of current owner of the vehicle whoever it may be.
