Description of the problem | I own a 2007 rx350 and the dashboard is sticky, gummy, shiny and melting emitting odor -- health hazard. The shininess reflects while driving locally and/or highway, and affects visibility. Apparently, lexus is aware of these issues and tooks steps to rectifies these issues; however, i had mentioned these issues back in 2016 to my dealership whom didn't address it as a defect hence why i didn't think it was a defect until now since my dashboard recently started cracking. Apparently, there has been class action lawsuit for this issue, but didn't realize these were defects until i contacted lexus regarding this matter -- unfortunately for me, they're not honoring fixing these issues because it's outside the warranty. This is not a warranty issue nor is it comestic; it's a defect. |
