Description of the problem | Subject: complaint - 1994 jeep grand cherokee recall n45 - rear structure reinforcement --- comments: as owner of a 1994 jeep grand cherokee being recalled for rear structure reinforcement (installation of a trailer hitch) to protect the fuel tank against leaks and fire or explosion caused by a rear end collision, please be advised that the manufacturer's response to this issue has been unacceptably slow and deficient. I have been on a waiting list for some time at the local jeep dealer who is unnecessarily delayed waiting for parts (apparently a trailer hitch) to correct this defect. The prolonged delay in the manufacturer not providing the required part(s) is dangerous, unwarranted, and unacceptable. |
