Description of the problem | Jeep was in my driveway. My wife was putting the car into reverse when it, on its own, lunged backwards at maximum acceleration, knicked my son who jumped out of the way, knicked another car in my driveway, and smashed accelerating backwards into a tree, totaling the car in the process. I know you are investigating 1995-1999 grand cherokees for this defect, but you need to include 1994 model year as well. There are at least 23 similar incidents for 94 jeeps on your website. I have printed them all out. We had the car inspected by chrysler at the time and they claimed driver error. What a total cover-up, and we thought it was our fault!!*ak |
