Description of the problem | I just purchased a 1994 jeep grand cherokee larado from a gentle man in massachusetts. I was told the vehicle had 52,000 original miles on it. I received an affidavit from the original owner claiming he check the wrong box on the title when he sold it to the gentle man i purchased it from. I was told by him that all i had to do was show the affidavit to the dmv when i transferred the title to my name and they would correct the title. Well needless to so the dmv said the original title said "actual miles" and that was that. So i titled it to my name and it says 52000 miles "not actual miles". So i started to wonder what was going on and i made an appointment with the local chrysler dealer to check out my vin info. They said that the window vin plate has been replaced. So now i think someone has done something dirty with this vehicle. What do i do now?? *nm |
