Description of the problem | Several times a month this occurs. From a standstill, i press the accelerator to turn into traffic, and after the car initially moves forward, the car appears to slip out of gear even though it shows that it's in drive. The engine rpms rev with the accelerator pressed, but the car will not accelerate or move. Lifting up and re-pressing the accelerator only makes the tachometer rpms rev up, but after about 10 seconds, the car pops back into gear. When i pull out into traffic, i could cause a serious accident if my car will not accelerate and lies dead in the road! The dealer cannot replicate the problem because it only occurs a few times a month, but it has been going on for 12 months now. I also see dozens of online posts and complaints identical to this from other qx60 owners. This is a serious injury and death risk. |
