Description of the problem | My husband and i were traveling on i-95 southbound from ct to ny when our brand new infinity qx60 simply stopped driving between exit 19 and exit 18 (ne11. 9). The engine was running but the car could not move. We used whatever momentum left on the car to move to the right shoulder of the road. This malfunction was a life endangering mechanical failure since we were traveling on the left side of the highway. The qx60 was traveling at a low speed due to the traffic jam at the time of the incident. We were told that the malfunctioning was due to a factory error which the clamp of the transmission fluid pipe was not engaged. An error could have cost lives on the road. |
