Description of the problem	Tl* the contact owns a 2012 infiniti m37. While driving approximately 55 mph, black smoke emitted from the hood of the vehicle. The contact pulled to the side of the road and a ball of flames immediately shot out from underneath the front end of the vehicle. The contact dialed 911. The fire department arrived approximately 20 to 30 minutes later and extinguished the fire. The vehicle was destroyed. Both a fire and a police report were filed. There were no injuries. The remnants of the vehicle were towed away by the insurance company. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 33,000.
