Description of the problemI had the oil changed in june 2013. In early july my daughter said that the engine light came on and a day or two later the car was making loud noises from under the hood. We checked the oil and it was bone dry. We chalked it up to the last oil change as not having enough oil put in it. Well, 5 weeks later the same thing happened along with the oil light. I checked the oil and it's bone dry. All warning lights go off after putting oil in. The car is burning oil, a lot of oil very quickly with no residue on the driveway. I went online and many people are having the same problem, mileage should not be an issue. I have yet to bring it in to the dealer for fear that it will need an engine. Some light colored smoke comes out of the right side of exhaust. This is probably happening more than documented as owners may feel like there's not much to complain about with a 9 year old luxury car.
