Description of the problem	I was heading south on i 75 in florida heading towards bradenton in the passing lane doing between 75 & 80 when my engine shut down making a loud noise. I immediately put my flashers on and was able to move to the side of the road in the emergency lane, luckily there was one. The car behind me went to the middle lane at that point. I am so furious this happened as i just had my car serviced the week before and i am 72, a senior citizen. The cooling fans apparently knocked out the thermostat. I had it towed to the dealer in tampa who then informs me the warranty was extended on a recall till october and that infiniti would pay for the cooling fans but not the thermostat... I think all infiniti owners should've been notified of this problem and had it fixed but no letters were written, its an unwritten recall apparently because they have had problems. I find fault with this situation because i could have been killed waiting for help just being on the side of the road like that on an interstate.... Shame on infiniti for not making this a true recall.... Are they waiting for someone to get killed before they officially recall it?? I no longer have any confidence in infiniti and am looking for a different vehicle to purchase, this one is off my list now... This car has been very expensive to keep up....
