Description of the problem | The fuel gauge is malfunctioning and showing half full despite the amount of fuel in the tank. Gauge cluster test confirmed this issue. Gauge issue occurs regardless of speed and/or location of vehicle. Test method: hold the trip reset buton and turn the ignition on. Now push the trip button 10 times in about 5sec. This will enter self diag mode. All the needles will drop now push it and hold all the needles should go. Halfway. If the fuel gauge needle sticks then you have your answer. |
